Anyyway….And why Diane’s video should be a wake up call to everyone out there…
TODAY…
I received and email from Ray Fong and Ferny Ceballos…
The SEO Experts that we all know and love so well
What they wrote is…
As you may know… we teach folks how to get traffic, lots and lots of targeted traffic via the search engines. We figured that’s what most folks were missing in their blueprint to business success.
So we taught folks the ways of SEO – giving them the entire step-by-step guide that we use to get traffic for ourselves. We thought we’d solved folks’ problems and were quite happy with ourselves.
Well, it wasn’t too long ago that I got an email from one of our students of SEO.
She’s frustrated. Why? It’s not because she wasn’t getting traffic (she was, and a lot of it) but it was that none of that was converting! And she wasn’t the only person that’s experiencing the “lots-of-traffic-but-no-conversion” phenomenon.
As a matter of fact, we had another student of ours complain that he was getting loads of traffic (10,000+ visitors a month, but his conversion sucked).
We have a feeling that some of you are experiencing the same thing…
Here is MY take on “WHY” traffic doesn’t convert
For traffic to CONVERT…
TRAFFIC has to become PEOPLE…
PEOPLE with whom we BUILD HIGH QUALITY RELATIONSHIPS…
So how do you build high quality relationships with people…???
You show THEM how much YOU CARE about them FIRST…
How do you show people how much you care about them via a blog or a website…???
You GIVE them HIGH QUALITY…HIGH CONTENT information that they can USE right way
in their lives…in their businesses… to SOLVE A PROBLEM that they are having…
Or…you ENTERTAIN THEM…so that you are ENGAGING THEM and HOLDING THEIR ATTENTION
long enough for them to FEEL comfortable with YOU…
Or…you do BOTH at the same time…
When PEOPLE FEEL comfortable…when they FEEL SAFE…
They start opening up to you…
They become CURIOUS about YOU…
CURIOSITY DRIVES them dig deeper into WHO YOU ARE…
And as they get to KNOW YOU BETTER…
They will either come to LIKE YOU and RESPECT YOU….or leave
PERIOD
If they don’t FEEL as though you have their best interests at heart…
If they don’t FEEL as though you care about them…
If they FEEL as though YOU are just looking to TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF THEIR POCKETS…
They will deliberately go away…
FIND the person that makes them FEEL cared about and appreciated…
And that is who they will CONVERT with…
I don’t know about you…
But unless I have sales…I don’t have a business…
How long can anyone stay in business without sales…???
You all know that I coach with Diane…
I take her MILLION DOLLAR coaching SERIOUSLY…
She took a look at my stuff back in the summer…
And she SHREDDED MY MARKETING STUFF…
Told me what was wrong…why I was GOING NOWHERE in a hurry
And THEN…
I had to do a SERIOUS marketing OVERHAUL…
I got myself ALIGNED with WHO I AM … MY PURPOSE
I got my head wrapped around the fact that
TRANSPARENCY AND AUTHENTICITY in EVERYTHING is the ONLY WAY TO GO…
I closed two blogs because they were GARBAGE…
I ripped down PAGES of web content because it was CRAP…
I GOT really REAL with myself…
I got so REAL with MYSELF that I made myself CRY…
I KNEW IN MY HEART that I had to regenerate EVERYTHING…
So that I could come from an AUTHENTIC place of SERVICE…
Providing truly HIGH VALUE content…
That would allow me to truly HELP OTHER PEOPLE FIRST…
So that they will in turn…
Trust me ENOUGH to leave me their NAME and EMAIL
And allow me the PRIVILEGE OF COMMUNICATING WITH THEM…
And give THEM enough space and time to CONTACT ME…
When THEY are ready…
And I KNOW…that as long as I do MY JOB impeccably…
I am SERVING the PEOPLE that I am supposed to SERVE…
And THEY in turn PROSPER ME…
